See Edinburgh Old Town, New Town (New town is from the 1760's), Dean Village, Stockbridge, Leith shore and places outside the city centre such as South Queensferry, Roslin Chapel or even a whisky distillery.

See the sights with a local guide, explore places well off the usual tourist trail, stop to eat and drink in local spots well away from the tourists and keep the walking to a minimum.

Leave the city behind and explore the best of Scotland's countryside, mountains, lochs, castles and great food and drink. We can suggest an itinerary to you, but we are very flexible to make sure you get to do what you want. Our stops on the Central Highland tour can include:
* The Kelpies statues in Falkirk.
* Stirling Castle (see from the outside, or tour inside).
* Loch Lubnaig.
* Rob Roy's grave at Balquidder.
* Lunch at a great local spot to suit your likes.
* The Falls of Dochart in Killin.
* Kenmore and the River Tay.
* 5000 year old standing stones.
* A whisky distillery visit (we can skip this if you don't like whisky)
What we see depends on what you want to do, some people want to visit inside more castles, some people want to do more walks, some people just want great stops for photos but don't want to go inside castles or distilleries, some people want lots of whisky and food stops, whatever you want to do we will strive to make it happen.

"Definitely use iconic Tours for a private tour!
We were fortunate to choose Iconic Tours, with Will as our guide when we visited in August. Will truly loves Scotland, which shows through in his stories and background of the places visited. Will was very accommodating in what we wanted to see, and how much time we wanted to spend at each place. In our daytrip we stopped to see Stirling Castle from afar, drove by the Kelpies, stopped for a great scotch tasting at Deanston Distillery, got a fantastic tour of the Highlands, had a nice lunch & beer at Clachaig Inn, saw Loch Lubnaig, stopped in Callander for coffee and delicious pastries at Mhor Bread, saw local highland dance exhibition in Callander, and stopped in Queensferry to see the Queensferry Crossing & Forth Bridge. It was an awesome time."

Stop for views of Stirling Castle, Loch Lubnaig and then up to Glencoe where we will explore some famous sights and get you off the usual tourist routes to quieter spots as well as taking you to some great local spots to eat and drink.

"Wonderful Custom Tour
We are two couples who have traveled together domestically and internationally for the past ten years. After reviewing available tour options we decided on a custom five day tour of the Scottish Highlands with Iconic Tours. Will and I exchanged many emails to determine the timing and itinerary and Will always responded promptly. When we had trouble finding places to stay Will provided suggested lodgings that were lovely. Our driver guide was Moira and she was a gem. She picked us up in a comfortable and spacious van and off we went. Although we knew where we would be spending each night the daily itinerary was not cast in stone and Moira included special stops that we would never have known about on our own. In addition Moira was very knowledgeable about contemporary Scotland and Scottish history along with a special interest in ecology. We probably tried to include too much each day but Moira managed get us to every place of interest without us ever feeling rushed all the while providing interesting and relevant commentary. I will treasure the memories of our tour with Moira and Iconic Tours."
