This food box is all about celebrating great Scottish hand made foods. These are all small producers who put that bit more love into their products and many are award winning produers. You won't find these products in supermarkets, just in Farmers Markets, delis and select few shops.
Rather than bumping up the cost by adding in wicker baskets that will be thrown away, we deliver them worldwide in recyclable boxes and keep the weight just under 2kg to minimize shipping expenses. If you are in Edinburgh you can pick it up to avoid shipping costs.
The pack contains the following items subject to availabilty (we may substitute some items if our suppliers don't have stock.
*Chocolate Tree Chocolate - the owners work directly with the farmers in the cacao producing community of Chillique in Peru (please note there is no chill in the chocolate, the name has made some people ask us if this is the case) who produce premim cacao beans and then the chocolate is produced in small batches in East Lothian near Edinburgh and some of their range are Great Taste Award winners. We have a variety of mil and dark chocolate.
* Howdah tea - a local family company provide us with loose leaf that suits the Scottish palate.
* Perthshire Oatcakes - hand made on a farm in Crieff using a family recipe and Great taste award winners.
* Arran Cheese - hand made on the Isle of Arran, these luxury cheeses are dipped in wax to allow them to kept fresh in a cool place without refrigeration until they are opened.
* Perthshire Preserves Chutney - hand made in Stirling using Deanston Single Malt whisky.
* Indulge Jam or Perthshire Preserve Deanston Single Malt Whisky Marmalade (let us know which you prefer and we will make the box to suit if we have stock)- both made in small batches, the jam with fruit is best in the current season and the marmalde is Great Taste Award Winning.
* Shortbread House Edinburgh shortbread- hand made in Edinburgh by a local family business and also a Great Taste Award winner.
* Campsie Fells Tablet - anyone who grew up in Scotland loves this sweet treat and this is hand made to perfection near the Campsie Fells it's Great taste Award winning.
