Central Highland Sample Tours. Routes are not set in stone, we can add in Kelpies, Falkirk Wheel, Loch Lomond etc if we omit other things from the tour:

Sample route 1: (maximizes time out of the vehicle walking about)

*Leave Edinburgh approx 9am (earlier in the winter months is recommended to make the most of the light)

*Visit the Kelpies for a photo and learn about their links to Nessie.

* Stop for a photo of Stirling castle and to learn about it's fascinating history (or of you would like to visit inside we could arrange that).

* Stop at Loch Lubnaig for some great Highland scenes.

* Stop at a local spot for lunch

* Get off the main roads to visit the grave of Rob Roy and hike through a forest for approx 20-30 mins for a stunning view along the Glen to Loch Voil from an old clan gathering point. It is amazing there, our favourite Highland view. This stop depends on the weather though.

* See some Highland cows.

* Opportunity to visit Deanston whisky distillery for a tasting, or a tour if we skip some other things on the list.

* Return to Edinburgh approx 5-5.30pm depending on traffic.

Option 2: Great views and minimizes walking.

* Leave Edinburgh approx 9.00am.

* Stop for a photo of Stirling castle.

* Stop by Loch Lubnaig

* Drive to see the lovely Falls of Dochart in Killin.

* Lunch nearby in a local spot.

* Drive past Loch Tay to the picturesque village of Kenmore.

* Visit the 5000 year old Croft Morg standing stones.

* Opportunity to visit Aberfeldy Whisky distillery for a tour or tasting or perhaps visit the famous Ian Burnett Highland Chocolatier.

* Return to Edinburgh approx 5-5.30pm depending on traffic.

The information above is what we generally do on each driving tour but we can always talk about things in advance to include extras you may already want to do and often on the day when we get to know each other we can suggest other stops you might like.
